Featured Dancer: Kisa von Teasa from Portland, OR
The 2013 recipient of the Phil Slomksi Memorial Artist of the Year award, is a performer, producer, educator and emcee. Kisa started their burlesque career in 2005. In 2007 they co-founded Knoxville, Tennessee’s own award winning Salomé Cabaret, and Co-Founded the Salome Cabaret Burlesque Academy.
An multi award winning Icon of the Knoxville scene, they have taught and performed in shows and festivals both nationally and internationally, from BHoF to New York, Colorado, Albuquerque, St. Louis, Jamaica, and Vancouver just to name a few.
Kisa enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy with a nice tumbler of rye whiskey, exploring their obsession with the colour purple and believes that they are a Unicorn.
Dancer: Shan de Leers
Shan de Leers is a Professional Captivator and Bawdy Confidence purveyor based out of Nashville, Tennessee. Shan began her burlesque career as a student at Nashville’s Delinquent Debutantes and after GRINDuation, she began performing regularly in Nashville and beyond, becoming a festival favorite and headlining shows throughout the South, performing with and learning from some of the world’s best burlesque performers.
She has taken her shimmies on the road stripteasing and teaching from Jim Thorpe, PA to San Francisco, working The Tennessee Tease!
