Betty Vou Plaît is known for their eccentric take on naked art, and is one of the founding members and producers of Back to Black Burlesque. This pint-sized pony is a mover, a shaker, a risk taker and so much more!
Starting in Pittsburgh, she’s been darkening doorsteps and stages since 2014. Her performances range from classically glamorous, unsettling and haunting, all the way to absurdist tributes to pop culture icons. Her inspirations include high fashion, psychological thrillers, and pre-code Hollywood.
With a background in special effects makeup, costume design, and prop building, she strives to create art with high production value and a solid story arc.
She’s stripped, sung, and played with the southern branches of City Winery Cabaret, Pittsburgh based sideshow troupe Kabarett Vulgare, Velvetina Taylor’s Blue Moon Revue in Memphis, Truvy Trollop’s Rhinestone Cabaret, Delinquent Debutantes, Dirty Nerdy Burlesque, Skull’s Rainbow Room in Historic Printer’s Alley, Nudie’s Honky Tonk on Broadway, and Body by Cheese, Whiskey by Corsair. She also co-produces The Brewlesque Show and the Nashville branch of Dr. Sketchy’s.
Viola Vainglory is a burlesque performer, producer and femcee in Nashville, Tenn.
After years of theatre work and costuming, Viola found her true performance love in burlesque. The sparkle, spectacle and sensuality of burlesque fit perfectly into that hole in her heart. She’s been charming audiences since 2011 with sweet, sexy and nerdy acts ever since.
Today, Viola produces a weekly show at Sid Gold’s Request Room, co-produces Senectitude Burlesque, a touring show exclusively for performers 40 and up, and travels across the country performing when she’s not dancing or on the mic in Nashville.
