A professional pianist, drummer, and singer, Brandon Reeves, a.k.a. “Steely Bran,” has cultivated a unique performing style—an All-American gumbo of homegrown music that weaves together the blues, ragtime, stride, boogie, rock n’ roll, and, most of all, the funk and rhythm-and-blues sounds of New Orleans into a distinct and powerful sound. In addition, Brandon works as the Hammond B3 organist at Conquering King Missionary Baptist in Detroit, and teaches piano and drums privately. With a gifted musical ear and a large repertoire of music old and new, Brandon can handle just about any request with equal aplomb. And if it’s not on the list—just ask!
