Sid Gold’s Request Room has your Halloween all figured out. We will be open on Tuesday, Oct 31st, hosting our “Old Hollywood Horrors” night with Ouija Boards, specialty cocktails, costume contests with $$ prizes, aura photography, tarot readers, and of course, karaoke (with DJ to follow) to spook and delight you! Costumes STRONGLY encouraged with theme of vintage Hollywood horror movies.
Piano Karaoke with Brandon Reeves!
How it works:
A professional pianist, drummer, and singer, Brandon Reeves, a.k.a. “Steely Bran,” has cultivated a unique performing style—an All-American gumbo of homegrown music that weaves together the blues, ragtime, stride, boogie, rock n’ roll, and, most of all, the funk and rhythm-and-blues sounds of New Orleans into a distinct and powerful sound. In addition, Brandon works as the Hammond B3 organist at Conquering King Missionary Baptist in Detroit, and teaches piano and drums privately. With a gifted musical ear and a large repertoire of music old and new, Brandon can handle just about any request with equal aplomb. And if it’s not on the list—just ask!
