TIP YOUR PIANIST! Venmo: @Griffin-McMahon
Western Massachusetts native Griffin McMahon is no stranger to a piano bar. An accomplished pianist, organist, and singer-songwriter, Griffin is a Juilliard graduate and plays everything from Bach, Chopin, Debussy and Philip Glass to Gershwin, Jerry Lee Lewis, Merle Haggard, The Smiths and Elton John. He cut his teeth playing piano bars like the Manhattan Inn in Brooklyn, New York and The Ritz on Martha’s Vineyard. He has performed with the likes of Bill Murray, Uma Thurman, opera star Laquita Mitchell, alt-rockers The Lemonheads, and Nashville local honky tonk heroes The Cowpokes at Robert’s Western World and American Legion Post 82. Whether it’s on an old honky tonk piano in a bar room or a massive pipe organ in a cathedral, Griffin infuses his playing with his highly infectious enthusiasm and soulful heart. He landed in Nashville in the fall of 2021 and has felt at home ever since.
